Live From Lucca - 3 CD set

Dave Matthews Band played one of the longest shows in their history on July 5, 2009 in a beautiful plaza in the heart of Lucca, Italy. In the Tuscan setting surrounded by city walls dating back to the Renaissance era, the band was inspired to deliver a performance lasting almost three hours. A welcome mix of classics on the setlist served to complement the new Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King songs.

Across the Pond – DVD

“Dave Matthews Band: Across the Pond" is a concert film shot in the famed Brixton Academy in South London. Directed by Sam Erickson (The Road to Big Whiskey Documentary/44 Pictures) and filmed with 10 HD cameras in the vintage awe-inspiring theatre, this concert program takes you up close and personal with DMB in a setting reminiscent of the band’s earlier years of club and theater touring. Mixed in pristine stereo and 5.1 surround from the original multi track recordings and presented via Dolby Digital stereo audio this film is the definitive visual record of the 2009 world tour behind Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King.

6.26.2011 Bader Field, Atlantic City, NJ Dave Matthews Band brought their multi-artist Caravan tour to four US cities this summer with the opening weekend taking place in Atlantic City, New Jersey June 24th-26th. DMB brought new life to Bader Field, a defunct airport space surrounded by the Intracoastal Waterway, only a short bridge away from the famous Atlantic City Boardwalk. The band hosted a 3-day multi-stage, multi-artist festival ending each day of music with a headline performance. One four letter word sums up the weekend perfectly: E-P-I-C. The band’s headlining concert on June 26th is now available as a 2-CD set or digital download. DMB pulled some great stuff out of their trick bag on the last night in AC with rarity (and previously unreleased) Kill the King , Seek Up into Warehouse , Dive In featuring a new musical intro and a first for the band with a cover of Sweet Emotion . The crowd went wild during the quadruple encore when DMB began playing Halloween after Carter’s snare drum intro to Ants Marching , launching back into Ants at the end of Halloween. DMB ended the show and an incredible weekend of music with the apropos Thank You Falletin Me Be Mice Elf Agin. The fans continued chanting the song as they exited the Caravan and walked over the bridge to the boardwalk. booklet | tray inlay | CD labels

  • DMB Live Trax Vol. 22: Montage Mountain
    Item #: DMDD94
The DMB Crew is particularly excited about the next Live Trax release. The July 14, 2010 Montage Mountain, Scranton, PA show is a true gem. The band really crushed it on stage delivering an over 3-hour performance! The Montage Mountain show’s setlist draws from all different time frames and showcases some relatively new arrangements and jams. Grace is Gone features a country- tinged outro and You and Me has a nice Digging A Ditch tease intro. So Damn Lucky is a pretty epic jam and the horns reprise the Digging A Ditch melody again in the song. #41 is a definite highlight, clocking in at over 20 minutes with Two Step a close second at sixteen minutes. The spontaneous little jam before Pantala Naga Pampa > Rapunzel and the energetic Two Step both serve to illustrate what a great time the band members were having on stage that night. The Wetlands show is the earliest show in the Live Trax series that we've been able to mix from multi-track. The historic, now defunct Wetlands Preserve has a neat history rooted in philanthropy and is one of the first NYC venues that DMB played. Highlights include a great run of songs, Dancing Nancies > Typical Situation > Blue Water on the setlist featuring longtime friend, Warren Haynes. Blue Water features Boyd and Warren weaving licks together with violin and slide. Best of What's Around as a closer is pretty rare and all in all, we just really love this high energy show from the early days.

    Item #: DMDD92
Dave Matthews Band 8.4.95 SOMA in San Diego, CA is the 21st volume in the Live Trax series. The show was performed in front of an intimate crowd and broadcast via radio and Dan Healy, the Grateful Dead's longtime audio engineer, was on board as the recording engineer. Despite it being a radio broadcast, the band was comfortable performing with experimental soloing and joking with the crowd. The 1995 San Diego show features compelling renditions of classic songs with the band exhibiting great energy throughout the set. Highlights from the early show include LeRoi's performance on Proudest Monkey , I'll Back You Up in the encore as well as an exceptional Drive In Drive Out . This version of Don't Burn the Pig is an early jam, different from the later studio release on Before These Crowded Streets .

    Item #: DMDD74
Dave Matthews Band performed at Vivo Rio in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on September 30, 2008 in front of many South American fans seeing the band live for the first time. The audience in Brazil was ecstatic which comes through in the recording and DMB really plays up to their exuberance. Highlights include Carlos Malta on the wood fife in Say Goodbye , his influence bringing a distinct flavor and Brazilian sound. Burning Down the House followed by an arresting Two Step are also noteworthy as is an emotional The Stone . The synergy between the band members is evident throughout the show. Other songs of the note on the Rio release are the show-opener, Bartender as well as Grey Street which makes its first official live release performed by the new formation of band members. • DMB Live Trax Vol. 17: Shoreline Amphitheatre
    Item #: DMDD67
7.06.97, Shoreline Amphitheatre, Mountain View, CA. For the 17th release in the DMB Live Trax series, we chose the Shoreline show from 1997 which is also the first release from that year. This was the band’s third performance at Shoreline Amphitheatre, opened south of San Francisco in 1986 in cooperation with promoter Bill Graham who designed the venue space to resemble the Grateful Dead’s Steal Your Face image. Highlights of the summer 97 Shoreline show include the debut release of Leave Me Praying (which later evolves into Don’t Drink the Water) and the cover of Daniel Lanois’ For The Beauty of Wynona featuring Los Lobos’ Steve Berlin on sax and David Hidalgo on electric guitar. Jimi Thing features remarkable horn play by LeRoi and Steve Berlin in a musical conversation with Carter’s drums. Hidalgo’s guitar solo in Lie In Our Graves is also worth mention, lending a special sweetness to the song. booklet | tray inlay | CD labels
