6.23.2001 Tweeter Center at the Waterfront - Camden, NJ

On the heels of the Everyday album release, Dave Matthews Band embarked on a four and a half month long tour that featured Butch Taylor on keys, the Lovely Ladies on vocals and a run of almost twenty stadium shows. In late June, DMB brought their big stadium sound to the Tweeter Center at the Waterfront in Camden, New Jersey for three shows. We are happy to announce the standout June 23rd show as the next release in the Live Trax series, which includes an additional disc of highlights from the rest of the weekend.

Highlights of this second night include several rarities. Grace is Gone features the original prelude that had never been heard live and in its entirety by the general public until this night. This release also includes the Live Trax debut of Mother Father as well as a cover of Phish's Waste, and one of the most beautiful solo intros to Satellite that we’ve heard to date.

In addition, we have carefully selected a number of tracks to highlight the shows on June 22nd and 24th in Camden, NJ. This bonus disc features tour showpieces like the Big Eyed Fish > Bartender suite, fan favorites with a different twist (Minarets with the Lovely Ladies guesting) and hidden gems like Lover Lay Down, which might be the answer to "what was LeRoi's greatest moment on stage.”

Please note - Live Trax vol. 31 will be released on September 16, 2014. Downloads will be available on September 16.

  • Live Trax Vol. 30: The Muse
    Item #: DMDD114
The latest Live Trax series installment is drawn from three August '93 shows at The Muse on Nantucket Island. Around this time, the band was starting to multitrack a handful of their live shows with the hope of using the material to create their first album, Remember Two Things (11/9/93). None of the material on this Live Trax release has been released until now! The band recorded portions of the three night run at The Muse. However, technical issues prevented the band from capturing all three shows in their entirety. What has been mixed and mastered is representative of a relatively new band bringing its increasingly potent live show to a new brand of listener. It’s easy to imagine the band writing and performing all summer on the island as you listen to spot-on renditions of songs that are now classics. This compilation of The Muse shows has it all - from the first notes of Satellite to the last notes of the raging Halloween encore. Lie In Our Graves features LeRoi’s screaming sax solo; Pay For What You Get takes us back to the song’s roots as a Dave and Carter duo. Minarets>Blue Water is a powerful pairing that doesn’t exist much of anywhere in its full form. Hearing the segue here in this environment is a real treat. Live Trax 30 is a perfect companion to the reissue of Remember Two Things and takes the listener to a certain place and sound in DMB history. There couldn’t be a more comprehensive picture of what it was to witness the band at this time.

  • Live Trax Vol. 29: Blossom Music Center
    Item #: DMDD113
For the next installment in our Live Trax series, we have selected one of the standout shows of the early 2013 Summer Tour. On June 1, 2013, the band brought a flawless and especially unique show to the Blossom Music Center in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. Highlighted by a mix of newer songs and classics with several performances unique to the tour, it contains the first rebranded performance of Kill the Preacher (improvised in 2012 as an introduction to Why I Am ) as well as the first ever performance of the Some Devil song Oh at a full band show. The show opens with the classic Dancing Nancies - Warehouse combination - a first in over 15 years. What follows are songs recently returned to the rotation, such as the Idea of You (after its 2012 hiatus) and the setlist rarity Captain , as well as older fan favorites such as Say Goodbye , a late set Big Eyed Fish - Bartender combination and an extended Recently . Live Trax 29 is the first live show in the series to feature songs from the Away From the World album, released in 2012. As such, this release includes the debuts of Gaucho , Belly Belly Nice and Rooftop , all in their road-ready forms.

    Item #: DMDD104
We have selected DMB's 2006 tour opening show in Maryland Heights, MO for our 25th Live Trax release. This show represents Rashawn's first show as a touring member and showcases the synergy between him and LeRoi. Highlights include an energetic Granny as a show opener and, in our opinion, one of the best live Grey Streets out there! This era catches the band honing in and experimenting with the "new songs" of Stand Up such as Louisiana Bayou and Hunger For the Great Light and newer pieces like Sister which came after the sessions for that album. Some rarer tunes, Raven and Don’t Burn the Pig , make this a show we think you'll love.

  • DMB Live Trax Vol. 21: SOMA
    Item #: DMDD92
Dave Matthews Band 8.4.95 SOMA in San Diego, CA is the 21st volume in the Live Trax series. The show was performed in front of an intimate crowd and broadcast via radio and Dan Healy, the Grateful Dead's longtime audio engineer, was on board as the recording engineer. Despite it being a radio broadcast, the band was comfortable performing with experimental soloing and joking with the crowd. The 1995 San Diego show features compelling renditions of classic songs with the band exhibiting great energy throughout the set. Highlights from the early show include LeRoi's performance on Proudest Monkey , I'll Back You Up in the encore as well as an exceptional Drive In Drive Out . This version of Don't Burn the Pig is an early jam, different from the later studio release on Before These Crowded Streets .

  • DMBLive Trax Nightclub, Charlottesville, VA 7/28/1992
    Item #: DMDD117
This set, the earliest release of the band's career in the DMBLive series, features a very new, but very solid, DMB with all original members including Peter Griesar on keys. It’s obvious the band feels comfortable here at Trax in Charlottesville, VA, their original stomping ground. This can be seen when Dave introduces "Satellite" as a song by Elvis, or when the band members stop to say hello to Dave's sister, Jane, before playing the now classic tune “The Song That Jane Likes.” You can feel the vibrant energy of a band certainly on the rise. "The Best of What's Around" starts as a slower, blusier version than its present day form and heads straight into a smoking version of "Help Myself." Early in the set "Jimi Thing" gets the full funk treatment and everyone gets a turn to cut loose - from Boyd on violin, to Peter on keys, to LeRoi “Doctor X” Moore on the saxophone - and closes out with a group singalong vocal. The relatively new and beautifully stripped down "Seek Up," with flourishes from Carter and LeRoi, serves as a nice intro into "Typical Situation." Other highlights in this release include Dave solo on "Drive In, Drive Out," "Lie In Our Graves," and a very rare cover of Led Zeppelin’s "Tangerine."

  • Dave Matthews Band - Live in Atlantic City
    Item #: DMDD88
6.26.2011 Bader Field, Atlantic City, NJ Dave Matthews Band brought their multi-artist Caravan tour to four US cities this summer with the opening weekend taking place in Atlantic City, New Jersey June 24th-26th. DMB brought new life to Bader Field, a defunct airport space surrounded by the Intracoastal Waterway, only a short bridge away from the famous Atlantic City Boardwalk. The band hosted a 3-day multi-stage, multi-artist festival ending each day of music with a headline performance. One four letter word sums up the weekend perfectly: E-P-I-C. The band’s headlining concert on June 26th is now available as a 2-CD set or digital download. DMB pulled some great stuff out of their trick bag on the last night in AC with rarity (and previously unreleased) Kill the King , Seek Up into Warehouse , Dive In featuring a new musical intro and a first for the band with a cover of Sweet Emotion . The crowd went wild during the quadruple encore when DMB began playing Halloween after Carter’s snare drum intro to Ants Marching , launching back into Ants at the end of Halloween. DMB ended the show and an incredible weekend of music with the apropos Thank You Falletin Me Be Mice Elf Agin. The fans continued chanting the song as they exited the Caravan and walked over the bridge to the boardwalk. booklet | tray inlay | CD labels

  • Live Trax Vol 26: Sleep Train Amphitheatre
    Item #: DMDD107
7.30.2003 Sleep Train Amphitheatre in Marysville, CA is our next carefully selected volume in the Live Trax series. The show has a spacious but powerful quality to it, with the band members really living in the songs and enjoying the interplay between each other. Highlights of the show include the dramatic peaks of Spoon which had not been played since 99; the intense Dreaming Tree jam; and the mini set of So Much To Say>Anyone Seen the Bridge>Pantala Naga Pampa>Rapunzel towards the end of the show. The version of Sleep to Dream Her might just be the best one we’ve heard and is a perfect example of the quiet cool of LeRoi Moore. Minarets is another powerful tune with a haunting sound thanks to Dave’s vocal delivery and the wingmen, Boyd and LeRoi, delivering another classic melody line.
