Live Trax Vol. 44: 9.4.16 The Gorge Amphitheatre, George, WA
With the spectacular river gorge as the backdrop, Dave Matthews Band took their final bow of the 2016 tour at the Gorge Amphitheatre before heading into an extended hiatus. The weekend, which has been affectionately dubbed “Labor Dave Weekend,” was full of incredible energy and solid performances that covered the breadth of the band’s catalogue. This show from September 4th kicked off with “The Stone,” complete with an audience sing-along, and ended with a two-song encore of “Pig” and “Stay (Wasting Time).” Special guests included Carlos Malta on woodwinds on “Say Goodbye,” “The Maker,” and “Typical Situation,” while touring crew member Joe Lawlor played guitar on a fiery performance of “Rhyme & Reason.”
We are pleased to offer this show in its entirety as Live Trax 44, available in high definition as 1 Blu-ray / 3-CD set or audio-only as a 3-CD set. Each order will include a bonus CD of The Gorge Extended, featuring highlights from the shows on September 2nd and 3rd (while supplies last).

8. Why I Am
It seems that DMB are regularly in top form at the Gorge Amphitheater. Like the fantastic concert from September 6th to 8th, 2002, this concert is a special one for me. Great interpretations, great interaction with the audience. Especially "Lie In Our Graves", "The Maker" and "Typical Situation (with Carlos Malta on woodwinds)" are outstanding. I downloaded the bundle "Live Trax Vol. 44" with "Encore Trax" in HiRes 24bit/96kHz and have to say: This collection is worth every cent! And the sound is also phenomenal. This is especially true for all the tracks on "Encore Trax" except "Satellite" (which is - IMO- a "normal" performance, sorry); all the other interpretations really stand out from DMB's repertoire and concert history. I can highly recommend this bundle to any DMB fan.
